Sammi Kane Kraft (April 2,1992 - October 9, 2012) was born in New Jersey to parents Shelly and Lulu Kraft. She was the third child after Bobby and Frankie. Mostly raised in the valley of Southern California, Sammi grew up with a love of sports and performance. By age 12, Sammi was scouted to audition for Richard Linklater's 2004 reimagining of Bad News Bears starring Billy Bob Thornton and Marcia Gay Harden. Sammi's raw talent and ace sports skill earned her the lead role of Amanda Whurlitzer, the only female player in the film. Sammi continued sports throughout high school before pivoting to music and performance. She attended college in San Francisco where she started her infamous group SCARY GIRLS, a folk alternative indie rock band.

At the time of her death, Sammi was was writing a musical theatre project with her older brother Frankie, which was captured in the multipart documentary web-series "What i Became The Story of Funeral: A Musical".
